Ferrari 250 GTO (Gunze Sangyo)

OK gang, I’m thinking of building the above kit for the CBP here on FSM. I do NOT have the ‘high-tech’ version of this kit and therefore it it just plastic with no engine and/or other metal details. However, I need your comments:

  1. I know the ‘high-tech’ kit is rare and expensive. Is the regual Gunze Sangyo kit that I have as rare? I intend to build it either way, but I’m not sure if I should be waiting until my skills are a bit more refined? If it’s rare, I’ll wait. If it’s easy to get a duplicate, I’m gonna build it.
  2. Anyone have any reference sites or pics of this car? Primarily exterior and underside, since there is little to no engine detail in the kit.

Sounds like a great project! The regular kit isn’t too rare, so go ahead and build it. You can find good reference pics online for the exterior and underside.
