Ok, after lots of work on the ferniand, i’m finaly finished and had a chance to spray the base coat and base camafloge. I used Polly S for the base yellow, darked with a 10% black. THen i applied the camo, in this case tamiya red brown slighly darkened with black,a nd dark green, straight from the bottle. After i was happy, i then used the base coat to mist it to kinda of blend th colors together. I will let it dry tongiht, then work on the washa nd weathering.
The fernainand is the trumpter kit, mixed with parts of the dragon kit. The puma is the new hasagawa kit, OTB.
Enjoy and critique. Bill

The paint looks great. Very subtle.
[:D] so far so good,i like the puma ,it 1;35 and who made the kit,?great work.[:D]
Excellent base coat paint Bill. Thanks for explaining your colors and blending. Looks like pro work. I got a squadron flyer in the mail today and looked at the puma. Seeing your model makes me want to get one.
Cool work Bill !
Puma looks ok,but Ferdinard’s camo is a little blurry.
I think it needs a more hard edged brown.
Thanks for sharing, and keep us posted
Ohhh…and those are 1/72 scale…
Excellent work! Keep them coming!
nice work … pls post again after completed
Great looking builds so far. Thanx for posting. Bryan
they look pretty good so far bill. i gotta agree with mmaker tho, the camo on both i think is a little too blurry for the scale. even on 1/35 stuff, thered be more of a hard edge to the paint cuz of the size of the spray. id like ta see 'em when they’re done tho. thnx for postin!
Fine looking builds Bill! The misting looks like it may have made the camo edges just a little to subtle, but with a wash, and weathering, I think that some of the sharpness will return. I’m just learning myself how to take that sharp edge off of some camo schemes, and you’re on the right path from what I can see. Hope you don’t think I’m being a nit picker I do think they’ll both come out beautiful. Semper Fi, mike
i like em both cross, hard to choos between em. the ferdi reminds me of the one thats at the museum in aberdeen with the cammo and such, lookin good so far, keep up the good work.
One nice way to use for creating more hard edged camo,is to use some Silly Putty (Blue Tac) as a masking material.
This way you have to first paint Red Brown, mask outlines with rolled pieces of Silly Putty and spray sand.
