F-15C maybe, but if really pressed I’d have to say the Spitfire (any variant). Stunningly beautiful plane.
I have to agree about the 109.It just looks like a killing machine,pure and simple
DC3 I grew up in Papua New Guinea and this plane was the workhorse for freight. I’ve gotten to “fly” one ( I was 10 and sitting in the co-pilots seat), and we used to play tag on the freight when we were flying from Mt. Hagen to Madang or Lae. It is a beautiful airplane.

but, my real favorite is the Skyhwak, they’re what I worked with,and I like all the various schemes and sub types possible,a group of them fits well on the shelves, too
I don’t have much danger of “all of them looking alike”, either, from early B’s to F’s with Shrikes or bombs, nukes, refueling pods, Adversary schemes, M’s, Israeli, 2-seaters, etc, etc
to me, they are like comfort food,anytime I don’t know what to build, I just crack open another Scooter and build away

Oh geeze, where do I start?! I have a few favorites. For World War 2, my fave has to be the P-40, followed by the P51B. I just love the looks of those two aircraft. Although, the B17 is hands down my favorite bomber of all time. It’s just beautiful.
Modern Aircraft? The Su-27. I know, I know, a Russian plane is blasphemous…but the lines of the Flanker just screams “FIGHTER!” It is a darned good looking aircraft, and comes in a variety of color schemes to boot!
I actually have 2 favorites.
The first is the B-17F because it could do a variety of bombing mission type, it could absorb a lot more damage than most bombers of the era, and it could get it’s crew back home with unbelievable amounts of damage.
The Second is the F104 Starfighter. It’s probably the sleekest looking plane the US ever came out with.
Hard to pick a favorite, but if I could, it would definitely have 2 wings. Why? Because to me they’re better looking than anything with one wing.
I have many… but to name a few, for WWII fighters, for pure elegance of looks, the Spitfire, for a fighter different than all others, the P-38, for a no nonsense killer, the Bf-109… for the ultimate radial engined brute, the P-47N…
On WWII attack aircarft: the Ju-87 evil incarnate…
for fast movers; my fave is still the Thud-sleek, big, fast, powerful, and built!
Ya, nothing screams “Blitzkreig!” like the Ju-87…
Actually, you’re not alone. It looks downright mean! Russian stuff looks either really good, or really terrible. There is no in-between. But the 27 looks like an elongated, sleeker and deadlier version of the F-15. It just screams awesomeness!
I have to agree. I have seen some really brutish and ugly planes built in the former USSR (MIG25 anyone…) and some of the most graceful and sleekly deadly designs on the planet. The S27, MIG29, SU35 etc. Even some of their older stuff like the MIG15, 17 and 21 had a sleek charm to them.
I like my aircraft like I like my women: big, slow and ugly. That’s why the great C-17 is my favorite. [proplr]
For WWII stuff, the elegance of the spitfire and the mean look of the gull wing corsair. Either of those. I like them about the same. For the modern aircraft, I have really grown to like the Raptor. I first I hated it but now I can see it has some serious attitude.
Yeah, the M-21F13 had a nice sports car roadster look… a fighter pilots fighter.

As I said in a recent similar inquiry:
WWII: P-47 in all its iterations but especially the bubble tops.
Korea-Vietnam: A-1 Skyraider, particularly the single place cockpit versions.
Modern: A-10 because like the Skyraider you could hang massive amounts of ordinance on the
wing and it still flies.
To my eye the heaviest armed bird looks the sexiest.
Note: I would agree with the C-17 (my son worked on them for 6 years) if it was dropping old M60 tanks filled with torpex from 30,000 feet. Talk about a MOAB!

WW1-Fokker D VII… Why? Just look it it… It oozes killing power…
Inter-war 1920-1938- Curtiss P-6E Hawk… Why? Just a fun-looking little biplane
WW2- Spitfire… Why? Told ya’ll already…
1945-1953- F-86. Why? It’s the Mustang of the Korean War-era…
1954-74- AD1/A-1 Skyraider… Why? Simple. It had the looks and lines of sheer brute force, coupled with it’s loiter-time and the amazing array of ordnance it could carry… Plus, it handled like a fighter…
1975-2000- I’d have to pick the A-10, simply because one saved my azz in 1991…
2001-present- Nothing… Don’t like grey jets… 'Cept the A-10 still…
The Ho229…cause it has the number 229 in it…
Hmmm, so many good ones to choose from… let me see:
At the top of my list would be the F4U-1D Corsair - Navy didn’t like 'em so the Marines flew them to good effect right through Korea
THe F4 Phantom would be high on the list as well - had an uncle who started out in Mustangs and ended in Phantoms…
The A-10 because, when you’re a grunt, there is nothing better in the sky…
