Favorite Sci Fi Series and Episode

I’ve been watching the new Battlestar Galactica. It’s an awesome show, although I find it amusing that with such a technologically advanced civilization as they depict, Commander Adama is answering a telephone on the bridge of the Galactica that has a coiled cord attached. Seems so 20th-century-earth-like! Plus, it took me a while to get past the gender-bending of characters from the original series to this (Starbuck, et al).

TOS, Season 3, “Let That Be Your Last Battlefield.”

The Twilight Zone, Season 1, “Time enough at Last”

Star Wars Episodes 1-6 [:D]

Not quite Sci Fi but an old episode of “Tales from the Crypt” called “Yellow” Look it up, marvelous piece there.

Forgot to mention Gundam Wing and Full Metal Panic. My favorite Japanese animae.

The Twilight Zone “To Serve Man” Love that one

StarGate the whole serires

Starblazer that from way back

Hands down Outer Limits and Twlight Zone. I can watch these over and over again.

Favorite episode

Oh man I forgot about the anime Sci-Fi series. Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and Gundam 00.

I believe the Outer Limits show Demon With the Glass Hand featured the L.A. Bradbury Building- also seen in the movies DOA and Blade Runner.

SG Got it. That is the Episode I posted as I opened the thread. Robert Culp played the part of Trent, the eternal guadian of mankind. The girl he finds in the office building is Arlene Martel. She also played the Russian Cosmaonaut in I dream of Genie and Tiger the Allied agent in Hogan’s Heroe’s. And most important T’Pring as Spok’s Vulcan wife in Amok Time…

There’s a reason for the corded phones as explained in the BSG pilot: secure comms.

Favorite has to be Star Trek TOS. It’s difficult to pick one episode, maybe “Arena”

Other Fav’s are UFO, the episode “Timelash” is great

The Invaders, “Genesis”

Space 1999, “Dragons Domain” or “The last Sunset”

BattleStar Galactica, Both new and old.

Forgot about DS9 “Way of the Warrior” episode

Kilgons being klingons great stuff

that movie was called “the enemy below”

The movie Enemy Mine" was good, too. The short story/novella was better, but movie treatments rarely do justice to the original work. [aln]

Well, this may be a bit of stretch, but I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. Favorite episodes are Space Mutiny and Werewolf.

I just can’t pick one series over another:

Star Trek- Deep Space 9 for some reason I liked how the cast acted in that series.

Farscape - just loved the entire series.

Red Dwarf - especially the first 3 seasons.

Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex first season, The major is awesome.

Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe are AMAZING!!! Have all episodes (except the final season of SGU that comes out May 31st by the way)

Also Babylon 5 is awsome (have all of those as well)

Battle star Gallactica is pretty great too (have those as well)

[:D]

Anyone check out last nights Stargate Universe??? I thought it was great!!! Looking at next weeks episode looks like some more awsomeness to come!!!

Oh wow there are soo many Enterprise with Scott Bakula, Babylon 5 the fall of the night and who can forget molari and Vir singing Centauri opera also GROPOS was really well done it had a anti war theme and they spent all this time getting to know all these solders (character development was ready great) at the end they show you each one dead on the battlefield where they fell. The writer’s and director’s were really great in that series… and Firefly I don’t think they made a bad eposode, all 14 of them !!!

My fave was Star Trek the original…episode Amok Time

but the new enhanced version with upgraded special effects… I think it’s a tie.

Amok Time and Doomsday Machine. The new CG really sells the story in Doomsday
