This has been posted a few 100 times before, but OK, I’ll play.
North American P-51D Mustang, the sleekest, deadliest fighter aircraft of WW2, with enough variation of markings to last a modelers lifetime.
Regards, Rick
DC-3/C-47 & C-130 are my favorites
When all else failed, these birds would still keep flying. That’s why they are my favorites.
With out a doubt, the P.51!!! All and every variant. Besides it’s pivitol role in the war but also it’s miraculous design( it was the 100 day wonder) plus it’s just one bad ****** looking bird!!
aaaah… the smooth metallic finish… and the OD
Gotta say the F6F Hellcat. There’s just something about them that I like. It also helps that they were very successful in the Pacific.
A close second would be the SBD dauntless. For the same reason really.
I’ll go with the C-119 Flying Box Car. I logged a couple of long trips on this old bird in 1963 & 64, from Trenton Ontario to Bermuda and beyond, to Baffin Island via Winnipeg and Thule, Green Land, not to mention a few maintenance check flights. Then of course the Hercules took over as the main work horse for the RCAF.
PS. If anyone has a C-119 RCAF kit I’d love to get my hands on it.
Bill.
Hmm,is this by week or,
This week,it`s the EF111,as long as the kit goes together well.
I like the looks of the plane ,the ones on the ramp look like they want their ears scratched when the canopy glass is open
Other times,C 130s of the MC and AC varient.
Of course next week could be something different

F-4, then B-52, B-58. After that? Maybe a few of the Century Series fighters?
I’m torn between the B25J Mitchell…the most beautiful bomber of all time
and the F16 Falcon for its sleek lines…I also like the A-6E Intruder, the CL415 super scooper, the AC130 Spectre, the CF-18, and on, and on…
Hard question…I like 'em all…How about an easier question next time like…
“Can anyone explain the theory of cold fusion???”
RODC
Lancaster, loading capabilities, but spitfire mk9 too, (grandad flew them)
World War II:
B-25, P-38, Spitfire
Post-War
F-104, XB-70, F-80
F4U-1D Corsair [:D]
How could they ever have taked BaaBaa Black Sheep off the air[:(] Oh Robert Conrad where are you now that are country need you[^]
Ummm…hmmmmm…

For me it’s the P-47 Thunderbolt in all it’s guises. Best single-engine ground attack aircraft the US fielded, and it performed well as a bomber escort.
There is the Blackbird Family and then there is all the rest of the wonderful and beautiful aircraft of the world. Reason for choice: I was married to the SR-71 for 12 years and it is so close to it’s older sisters the A-12, D-21 & YF-12, that they may as well be included. What else can be chosen when you consider all of the unique problems and solutions that were encountered in the originl design and construction of the “Titanium Wonderbirds”.

F-15E best air supiriority fighter the Air Force has. Not a bad attack aircraft either
A-6 intruder and the A-10 warthog!By the way wargoose I think Robert Conrad is in a nursing home.,just kidding I never missed a show of Baa Baa Black sheep.
me 262 simple its amazing
Funny, mine list is identical to that of b6dan, except I substitute the B-47 for the B-52. Without the B-47, we’d still be flying to Europe on Connies. And besides, it’s got the cleanest, most elegant lines of any multi-engine bird ever to take wing. And no, I never get tired of this exercise. I always take the bait.
