Fairey Swordfish finished

Looks very nice as always Pix. I am perplexed by Tamiya’s kits…they are over engineered in some ways and under in others. I love their 1/72 early 109 kits but the accuracy of their Spitfire kits is disappointing at best. Their 1/72 scale kits are priced fairly well…I won’t pay over $50 for any plastic kit in my scale though I have come close a few times!
I’m all over the map on my builds…I’ll build an MPM kit and add lots of goodies and then turn around and build a Hasegawa Hurricane, (just about finished), right out-of the-box. I like it all…just depends on my mood!
You should build a stringbag in 1/72!! No shake-n-bake kits for it in my scale!

again, very nice job Pix, I always enjoy your builds!

Joe

Thanks Joe !

I used to build everything OOB, but I find that difficult now. If I’m going to devote 40 hours to an OOB build, why not invest the extra 10 hours and add a detail set? I feel better about the build, and I don’t end up saying, "Gee, I wish I hadd added this and added that . . . "

Thanks again !

Very beautiful build indeed , thanks for sharing the pics .

Sorry to drag this old topic back up but ib the kit instructions one paint scheme is identified as “HMS Ark Royal, Bismark attack, squadron unknown”. My research suggests 810 squadron.
