Factory Tour Number Three. Almost Done with Some. Not as Many Pics

Well, here we are at the third tour of my Factory. We’ll start today at the paint booth where all of these guys have been painted, and some have gotten some details added. Others are awaiting additional coats.

This is my progress on my BRDM 2. All I have left is to paint the splashguard and the wheel hubs, coat it, decal it and then wash and drybrush.

Unfortunately, the decals got caught in the rain. We had a bad storm blow through, and my hobby room window was open. The rain got blown in by the high winds that also cut off our electricity, and now I don’t think they are useable anymore. I do believe I have some extra aftermarket decals that would work though.

Next is my BRDM with Saggers. This is a pic of the launcher assembly upside down. I have the launcher arms painted a metallic black and the missiles are Olive Drab.

Here it is with the launcher assembly test fit. It’s had alot of gap-filling CA glue and sanding done to it here to take care of the gaps. You can see from all the paint sanded off where the problem areas are. The other white areas are the detail parts added to the hull. This one will be getting a new coat soon. The wheels are off because they are rubber.

Here is the BTR 60 fully painted. Now I have to make all the wheels for it, and then paint the hubs before adding the rubber tires. After that, it is ready for clearcoat, decals and detailing.

My Tunguska is basecoated here. Now I have to add details and mount the tracks. Then comes the camo pattern. This one has a way to go.

Meanwhile, my Panther has received a coat of paint on the wheels and tracks.

Finally, here is two views of my T-72 tank that shows the tracks and wheels painted, as well as the detail on the grills and exhaust.

That concludes this tour. As before, hamburgers are being served in the veranda. I look forward to seeing everyone for the rollout of these vehicles, as well as the start of another Factory Tour featuring all new projects!

Looks like the factory is staying busy churning out these mini monsters. Thanks for the tour Duke! [:D]

Kicking them out like there’s no tomarrow Duke. Thanks for the tour. Semper Fi, mike

You should give your factory workers a raise, Duke. They are doing great!

duke incredible work. thanks.

joe

Fine fine work there, Duke! The Tunguska is still looking awesome, but so does the BTR60. Real nice to see different things!

Very nice duke…and the burger was great too

Thanks everyone! wbill, Mike, Joe, I’m glad you like the tour and I appreciate your great comments. I have some more progress to post that will go up in a few days.

Thanks Dwight. I think I will give them a raise! [^]

Thanks Dj! I like being able to get and build different stuff, and I’ve been needing all this Armor for awhile for my Russian Army. I’m so glad there are some companies out there finally putting this stuff out. [^]

Thanks Jeff! I’m glad you like my work. You’re welcome for the burger. I can’t rely on my T-shirt company to supply my shirts, but I can fire up the grill! [;)][:D]

Wow, some spectacular small-scale updates there! Glad to see the Soviet forces now have a finished T-72!
Good job!

Zokissima, so am I! I’ve been wanting a T-72 for decades now! Thanks to ACE, I finally have one. Now to get about four or five more to fill out some of my other Armies!

Duke, don’t your workers have to get back to the North Pole pretty soon to help the man in the red suit get our x-mas wish lists filled?[:D] love them burgers!!

Lol! Yeah, I let them go up for a week or so, and then they come down for the weekends to ‘relax’ in my Factory. Seems the Big Guy in Red works 'em pretty hard! [xx(]

It also explains why these builds are taking so long! [;)][:D]

Thanks for looking in! I’ll try to have more pics up in a few days.
