I’m building an Eastern Express Firefly in Pacific FAA colours, but the trouble is there’s no details on what these are. No paint sheet or decal instructions at all. I’ve done the internet to death, but all I’ve gleaned is that it’s probably Dark Slate Grey 9tho one said this is more like light olive drab) and Extra Dark Sea Grey.

the upper surface is possably extra dark sea grey/dark slate grey. i’ll have a look later to confirm it and check the underside color. will revell paint codes do?. Greg
The paint color looks like the typical British underside type “S” Sky, I’ve read a mag a few months ago and there was an artical of the Firefly being restored and they painted it the original colors and they had stated the colors it was painted but I can’t remember which rag it was since I was in Iraq for 6 month I think the heat melted my membery circuits
Now I don’t want to ignite the debate over the colour of Sky type S but the colour of the RANs fireflys was a medium/dark grey while the underside was “Duck Egg Green”.
Now I saw all this about 45/50 years ago and the colour retention of the human brain isn’t all that good. But as I have been modeling all this time those are the colours that I would use.

My sources have sky ‘s’ and duck egg blue as the same colour.
The firefly scheme is the same as the seafire FR47 and the sea fury.
