F9F-2 for the Forgotten War Build

Yee-haw, my first completed GB

Could not get the nose decals to work out…oh well.

will let it stay like this for a while, then maybe some time in the future I may try some weathering. Trumpeter kit.

Beautiful!! Simply beautiful!! GREAT paint job. I not a weathering modeler, as I like to show a plane as it would’ve looked off the “showroom” floor, so to speak. All planes were, at one time, new off the assembly line, and you did a great job of showing that with this build. It’s how I build mine. Keep up the good work!!

Sharp looking Panther! The finish is incredible, way to go! [tup]

Yes, very clean build! I some times don’t put unit markings, just off the production line.

Very nice work on the Panther. I always remember that plane from the movie, “Bridges at Toko-Ri”. A great movie with some good action shots of the planes.

Nice and clean. Looks like it just got a wash and wax.[:D]

I sure do liek the look of that jet… one of my favs. nice to see it built so well.

Sweet looking Panther. Well done [tup].

Regards, Rick

Thanks for the kind words

not a lot of decals with this kit, but that can be a homemade decal project for the future.

there is a “stripe” decal for the nose section that goes above and below the “209” but its one piece…not sure how they expected that to work.

So… is that 1/48? Looks dang nice!

Thanks, yes She’s 1/48

That is one very nice looking Panther. I also like 1950’s aircraft. ? what colors did you use on the inside of the wheel wells ? looks white

Not to familiar with that plane but it looks awsome![tup] I really like it.

Great lookin’ piece of Grumman’s Iron Works! I likey!!!

Very nice . I like this plane.

What color did you use?

MM Dark Sea Blue

darn thing is, I have (1) ONE Bottle of Aeromaster Gloss Sea Blue…which I think was the most correct color…but with just one bottle…and no more around, I was afraid to use it, in case of some mishap, like spilling the bottle

HI That’s a great looking model. Good job and a eye catcher.

WHOA!!! Nostalgia time!!! The very first kit I ever built was a Panther. Probably cost all of 98 cents.

Thanks for the answer [tup]
