F/A-18 Rear Fuselage Rings/Color??

I’ve been wondering exactly what color to paint the rear fuselage ‘rings’ on my Hornet.
These are the ‘rings’ at the extreme rear of the fuselage…just in front of the exhaust nozzles.
I have looked at plenty of photographs and they look to be almost a Steel or a Bright Aluminum color.

I have lots of Tamiya, Model Master and Humbrol paint in my work shop but I just haven’t quite settled on the color for these rings.

Suggestions???

Hi Jim,
Theres a FA-18 Ground crew member on ARC forums who might be able to help.He only joined a few days ago,so i’ll ask him.

I have some time before I have to paint the ‘rings’, so I’m not in a BIG hurry.
But I do want to know…
Funny how you can have plenty of photos of those rings (or anything else for that matter) and still you end up unsure of exactly what color to paint them.
