dear all,
i’m modelling an f-4 j phantom from vf-74 bedevilers, from u.s.s. nimitz.
the aircraft is carrying air-air sparrows and sidewinders of it’s time.
it’s an old kit from esci. unfortunately i’ve no color/painting reference for them.
help needed. thanks for advance.

White bodies, the Sparrows have a light grey nose cone. Sidewinder IR heads were clear glass, so maybe silver? Not too sure, but from the top of my head that seems right.
The AIM-7 is gloss white with a semi gloss buff colored radome. It has a yellow stripe forward of the war head and a brown stripe forward of the rocket motor. The AIM-9, if it is a AIM-9B will be gloss white with a yellow stripe forward and aft of the warhead. Just aft of the warhead is a black stripe. The rollerons were a brass color. The glass dome on the nose is a deep purple, almost black.
If it has AIM-9D’s installed, the color is gloss white, flat black seaker head and a natural metal area just behind the seaker head. Just back from the glass dome was an unpainted area. The glass dome was dark blue almost black. It has one yellow stripe aft of the warhead and a brown stripe forward of the rocket motor. The rollerons are aluminum in color.
