Hi folks!
I´m working in an old monogram´s F-4c and I find a little problem:
the instruction sheet indicates paint the lower part of all the aircraft in LIGHT GRAY, but in the box art the same area is painted in WHITE, the same in the box photos
if any of you knows the correct color sheme please let me know
thaks
Jeremy
ahhhh!! the model is an F-4C of the 555th Tfs 8th TFW based in Thailand in 1967
Hi Jeremy - Vietnam War era Air Force aircraft wore the same colors. Green FS 34079, green FS 34102, tan FS 30219 and the bottom is light gray FS 36622. The light gray is very light and just may have shown up as white on the box photos. These colors are available from Humbrol, Model Master and other companies. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Pat
I believe Bubbamoosecat is correct on the F-4C. The Navy F-4J’s had white undersides with Gull Gray topsides.
Bubbamoosecat is 100% correct on the colors used by the USAF. The Navy used white undersides and Light Gull Gray topsides.
