Hey found this tonnight while stumbling around the internet. Be interesting to find out more information on how it builds, and how much detail is actually into it.
Damn, 1/72
Revell Germany has had one out in 1/48 for several years. While it is nothing to rave about, if one must have one now in 1/48, its out there…[^o)]
It’s not on my list of planes to do right now anyway, but I didn’t know Revell had a 1/48, thanks for future reference.
The Revell kit is a reissue of the Panda kit. Its model a prototype aircraft, not a production aicraft. So we will have to wait for a good 1/48 F-35 kit. (but since this jet is probably going as big a hit as the F-16 a good model will certainly come)
As much detail as Tamiya has been putting into their aircraft kits lately. I would really like to see Tamiya release one in 1/48.
Yes, If Anybody Knows Some New Models Kits Coming Out In The Late Fall 2010 And Early Spring 2011 Please Let Me Know? I Recently Was Searching Online And Fujimi Of Japan Is Releasing Their 1/48 or 1/72 Kits Of The JSF F 35 Fighter And It’s Highly Detailed With Alot Of Rivets,Panel Lines, Nice Cockpit, Landing Gears And Tires But No Pilot Figure Available? Paying Overseas Could Be A Little Bit Pricey Around $45.00 But If You Can Afford It It’s A Really Great Model For Anyone Who Like To Build Jet Fighters Or Collects Them. They Can Be Purchased At The Hobbylink Japan Website But It’s On Backorder So You Might Have To Wait For Some Time Untill It’s Becomes Available.
P.S. Take Your Time & Patience And Happy Modeling.

I know Panda Models brought out a F-35 in 1/48th(kit# 48001) about a year or two ago… It’s plain Jane and the detailing is very simplistic over all with scribed panel lines… Kind of reminds me of a level 1 kit…
So with the mentioning of Revell/RG, maybe they used Pandas moulds?

Are you sure about that? The only 1:48 F-35 I’ve ever seen or heard about is the Panda kit.
