Great shots! Anyone know what the angular gold thing is under the fueslage? Is it the laser-designator?

Looks like a sweet-looking integrated targeting pod. I’d imagine there is some FLIR capability along with laser designation going on there. Haven’t heard about it in any of the JSF articles I’ve read though. Makes sense though – why take up a wing station when you can just integrate something like that into the fuselage.
