I’ve thought about converting Academy’s 1/32 F-18C hornet to an A model. Aside from all the external differences, are the cockpits very different? I’d rather not mess with redoing the cockpit if the differences are minor enough. Also, I plan to have the canopy closed, and, well, I can’t find the Black Box set that would solve my problem. Thanks

the major visible difference between the A cockpit and the C is the small fuel status panel at the bottom left corner of the main instrument panel. In the A, it’s an analog panel and in the C it’s a digital display. Later lot Cs had the SJU-17 NACES seat installed, but I think the Academy seat is the earlier SJU-6 as used on the A and early C, so if you close the canopy you should be fine with the kit supplied parts.
