F-16D help...

Hello all. I’m looking to build a 1/48 F-16D using CMK’s new detail set, but I can’t find the Hasegawa kit anywhere. Does anyone have any idea where I might find one, or is there one that somebody would be willing to sell to me? I’ve tried the usual model websites to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you SOL there 53fixer. It must be OOP. There is not even one kit listed on eBay. Whoever has them is not letting them go. If you did not already have the conversion kit I would suggest jumping up to 1/32 scale. Ther are all sorts of choices there. Tamiya Hasegawa and Acadamy. All of them are pretty nice kits to thought they are a little pricey. The good thing is the F-16 is not a large plane so even at this scale the finished model is not to big. There are also tons of goodies in the 1/32 scale also. Cutting Edge make a cool big mouth conversion and black box has some unbelievablly detailed cockpits for these kits if you wallet is deep enough.

I snapped one up a year or so ago after months of frustrated searching.

Trust me it was hard to find, and at $75 I totally got ripped. However its mine and just waiting until I get the nerve to build it.

With the rarity of this kit, if I screw it up there is no second chances.

Thanks to all for your replies. As far as 1/32 scale, is there a Peace Marble spine conversion set available? It’s an option to build that scale if it exists. Otherwise I’ll keep my eyes open for one in 1/48, even a -B model.

PeeWeeBiggs- Thanks for the offer of the -CJ variant, but I already have one.

I guess I’ll move on to my F/A-18D instead…

Thanks again to all who replied. Happy modelling!
