I’m always adding kits to my “to get” XL spreadsheet and I am wondering if any one can recommend a good 1/32 scale F-16 kit?
Tamiya or Hasegawa? I have seen Academy have one but I have not been very impressed with their quality!

I built the Hasegawa 1/32 F-16 several years ago. Thought it was a great kit: terrific detail and great fit.
Don’t know anything about the Tamiya kit.

Which kit is better really depends on what you are looking for. The Tamiya kit is more accurate, has better details and fits together better than the other 2 kits. But, it is expensive. The Academy kit is lacking in accuracy, has decent detail, and not so good fit in a couple of areas, but it is cheaper than the Tamiya kit. The Hasegawa F-16 is an older kit (late 80’s I believe), has acuracy issues, and lacks details in some areas. Which kit also depends on which version of the F-16 you want as they represent different blocks of the F-16. I have seen all 3 built up into decent looking models.
Thanks for the input, guys. Money is not really an issue, I will probably add AM stuff anyway.
I recently built the Academy 1/72 B-17 and the fit on some of that kit (mainly the roof of the cockpit) was terrible. My next project is the Hasegawa 1/32 Starfighter with a bucket load of AM goodies, the detail in parts is ok but quite lacking.
It doesn’t surprise me that the Tamiya kit would be probably be the most pricey but also the best in terms of detail. I just purchased the Tamiya 1/48 Zero (Zeke) and for a small kit the details, especially the cockpit are great.
I think I’ve made my mind up and thanks for the comments.
