Hey everyone,

From some of the online reviews, or pictures I have found, it appears as if the Black Box set is the most detailed version. Unfortunately I can’t find anyone selling it. Has it been discontinued? Has anyone used the Aries or Verlinden set? Any advice is greatly appreciated. (48th scale Revell kit)

You may have to go to Hannant’s, but I’ve found that Squadron is pretty well stocked with Black Box stuff, and Meteor is a good one to fall back on.

or do a google on black box and maybe find some more dealers for it.

I have checked Ehobbies, Squadron, Great models, Roll models, evil bay, and now Hannants and they all have the C version but still no luck on an E. [:(]
I will go a couple more pages deep on Google and see what is around.

No luck on this one, I have checked a half dozen or so more places, I checked out some hobby store web pages from the ads in FSM and no body has this one. Anyone have any experience with the Verlinden or Aries sets?

Hey Dave,
Although I have yet to use it,I do have the Verlinden F-15E cockpit set.I havn’t started on it yet but would be more then happy to e-mail you some pics of it if you like, so you can draw your own conclusion. In my opinion it looks pretty good,but the etched brass is the sweetest part of it. They give etched brass access panels so that you have the option of leaving the panels open on both sides of the nose to expose the black boxes for the radar.The panels themselves are sandwiched together to give a slight 3-d effect.I hope I can help, Later.
