What is the best F-15C in 1/48th scale? I just finished a F-15E and now I wanna do its air superiority cousin

The best kit out nowadays is pretty much any later issue of the Hasegawa F-15C/J kit. The “Gulf Spirit” and “58th FS” editions have the proper engine exhausts (featherless) and build up into pretty decent Eagles. There are some fit issues, especially around the forward fuselage joint and the intake undersides, but overall they’re pretty good. The bad part is, for the current pressings of the kit, they are a bit on the steep side (around $45 apiece). The earlier editions (I have a Hasegawa C, and two D’s building right now) don’t have the proper exhausts. You can get them a LOT cheaper, but then again, if you want a current Eagle, you’ll have to spring for the proper exhausts.
The Hasegawa F-15E Dual Role Fighter is totally inaccurate for an E, but can be built up into a very nice D model with minimal effort and it has the proper engines. I just paid $15 for mine on ebay, so that may be something for you to think about as well.
