Hi all, I recently acquired Revell’s F-15D/E Eagle, and I was wondering if it was possible to build it as a C. In short, are there any differences between the C and the D besides the cockpit? The kit come with the electronics bay for behind the C cockpit. Thank you in advance for your help!
the visible differences between the A-E models are minimal once you get past the cockpit. I can’t really think of anything that gives away say an A from a C or a D from an E other than the tail number.
The canopy is different. The single seat canopy was more tapered at the rear. The two seat canopy had more of a rise toward the rear. That was to allow for the rear seater to set high enough in the cockpit without his head coming in contact with the canopy.
I was worried about the canopy… Oh well , I think I can live with that. Thanks to both of you!
Don’t forget that the fuselage was raised behind the canopy to accomadate the different shape.
