I was visiting my dad yesterday, and took a couple of pics of these planes he built nearly 50 years ago. I think they’re both Revell kits in 1.72 scale. The Eagle has the prototype short air brake, and the engines pull out from the back. It has a lot of recessed panel lines, though they have a trough effect to them. The 16 is really cool, flew a lot of sorties with it when I was a buck! All hand painted.
Those look great! Hand painted and all!
Oh wow, fantastic work. The glue has held all this time too.
Cool - survivors!
Those look great! I love the Air Superiority Blue schemes! Built both of those back then as well, but gave them to my kids when they were little and they did not survive… Good memories…
Thanks, y’all! It’s neat that he still has them after all these years. He has others, some good memories.
That’s great Mississippi and hand painted too. [Y]
My oldest builds are the Esci 1/9 BMW and Bandai 1/25 Jagdpanther going back to about 1975. I’ve sold the rest on eBay to make room for current builds.
