Ok, I am really happy. I have finally signed up under photobucket and can now post some pics. My wife took off with the camera to Kentucky, but now I am going to be a photographer. Thanks Photobucket.
These are pics of my F-14D cockpit which I have since put in the plane. It is the Revell 1/48 kit, and needless to say it is not going to be the best a/c I put together, however it definately is not the worst.
I am kinda dissappointed with the fit of this kit in general, but I put all setbacks aside and am still having fun putting it together.
Without further ado…

Thanks for looking!
very nice job. Thanks for posting
Beautifull work Jeff, cn’t wait to see more.

Looks good to me. [:)] I have a hard time painting cockpits. Maybe the brush is too big, but I’m using the smallest brush I have. Anyway, look’n good.
same here good job id like to see more
Yeah I use a toothpick and the results suck… how DO you do it?!
Thanks for all the nice comments, i really appreciate it. I know I didn’t paint this exactly like a real one, but I like the different colors. I am really just practiced on this cockpit, and from here on out they will be hopefully correct.
I have this paintbrush that I have had for approximately 10 years and it is just a stub of bristles. I dab a little of whatever color I am going to use and touch where I want it. I hope this isn’t too vague. If I get the color on the base coat or happen to miss [:D] , I go back and touch it up with a 000 brush.
Sorry if this dosen’t make sense, I suck at trying to describe how I do things. [;)]
I could never make up my mind which knob and button is to be which color (yellow, white, red, whatever). Bad news for me, because when I try to make random weathering effects, they don’t look random at all.
