Guys, I need some help. I want ot build the F-14A Gray Bunny. I have the Superscale 48-975 for the markings, the Academy Kit for the airplane and the True Detail 48-480 resin set for the cockpit.
My problem is a lack of reference material for this machine. The paint guide says that he cockpit and seat etc, can be painted in either black or gray. I would think gray is the way to go, but I want ot be sure.
Can anyone advise please?
Thanks in advance
Liam
Liam,
The F-14 cockpit was usually flat gull grey while the instrument/consoles where black. The seats where black and the cushions where dark green (MM Dark Green is a perfect match). All F-14 cockpits where grey and it just depends on what paint the maintenance crews had at the time, they can even be as dark as medium grey but most where flat gull grey. The inside of the canopy was painted black also.

This is not your gray bunny, but I took these F14A shots at a New York museum.

The basic interior was flat Dark Gull Grey FS 36231.
