Started some work on Trumpeters F-105G “Wild Weasel” and I have run into some conflict as to the color of the bays and gear. I can find photos of aircraft, some painted white, some painted Green Zinc Chromate, and some references that call for silver! Does anyone know what might be typical for a Vietnam era Thud?

I’ve only ever seen them with White gear, even 'nam era ones.
The one on display at the base in Ft. Worth had white gear. It was painted like a nam era one, too.
I think the answer is “all of the above”. I’ve seen examples that have gray, white, green, or silver wells, or even combinations of those on the same aircraft.
As always, the best thing is to find references for the actual aircraft you are modeling. Restored or surviving aircraft are not always the best reference for operational colors.
