F-105B & Mig-21MF cnstr update 3-5-05

I have had 7 different airplanes under construction for the past year and I am finally about to finish a couple of them. The F-105 is a restoration that I stipped down to bare plastic and brought back up. The basic silver is Testors rattle can “Chrome” with Future over that. The decals I had were total garbage. I managed to salvage the ones for the vertical & horizontal stabs and used AM generic for the insignia & USAF. The wing tips, turtle deck, nose scallops and belly bird are hand painted with a brush. I still have to get the main gear extended and the nose gear in place as well as unmask the canopy.
The Mig-21 is a new build & is the one I posted the cockpit shots for about a week ago. It is ready for the clear coat and decals which will be Iraqi, mid 1980s.

Looking good Darwin. I especially like the Thud.

Man, yardbird, that is some mighty fine progress![tup]I echo Rick’s thought on the Thud. It is awesome![bow]Great job on the markings.

Looking good Yardbird78. You have inspired me to someday undertake a restoration project myself. Great job on both. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted on your progress.
