Im interested in doing this conversion after reading chuck yeagers autobiography.

Is there a conversion set?

Whats a good kit to start with?

Has anyone here built one?

What scale? Yes there was someone producing resin bits for this…though I can’t remember who.

Cutting Edge did a conversion kit. Remember seeing it several years ago.

I was thinking 48 scale, 72nd is getting a bit small for me (not for my eyes, i just have fat fingers lol)

Hasagawa offers an NF-104 in 72 and 48 and includes the BMF NASA markings.

Really? is it still in production? or will i have to search for it on evil-bay?

The Cutting Edge resin set is CEC48264.

Wow, thats insanely expensive. $74USD? just for a conversion set? thats just the exterior set too.
