Ok now here is something that will look very weird. im taking a revell spitfire and im turning it into a Spitfire divebomber. ill get pics of it a little later, but imagine a spitfire with a devestator divebomber look to it. it has a p -51b nose.
different parts used: P-51B nose and prop
F-105 control panels
P-38 lightning guns
Star Wars podracer parts
P-51D landing gear and struts

This I gotta see to believe!
Looking forward to the pics ![]()
Dr. Frankenstien I presume.[(-D]
LOL!!!
Gunney, you just GOTTA post pictures of that when you’re done!!
I’m hanging out to see that.
im also going to post pics of the construction of it.
That sounds like quite a bird! Gotta see that one.
You’re a sick man!!! Get some therapy immediately!!! [banghead]
Gunney,
You want to take Pmela Anderson and turn her into Phyllis Diller?
haha
here are some pics of the construction so far

The black control panal is from a F-105 model after its been shaped and sanded to fit. I am using Balsa wood strips for the frame.
Go for it, man! [:D] I appreciate a good “Frankenstien” build, and from my end everything looks great. That’s a good idea, using balsa wood for the interior cockpit framing…
I’m thinking of doing an “extreme kitbash” of my own in 1:72, though mine’s just in the developmental stage. See below for details…
From the picture i bet its going to look awsome when you finish and plus it looks to be a serious project, good luck with the build, please post pictures of your product on this post.
lets see some more
production so far has been slow, kept running into problems with the exhaust nozzels, but that problem has been fixed, now i’m changing out the spitfire wings with some wings from an old P-40 model, drilled out holes for the dive flaps, adding some bomb racks from a F-100 model. still working on the detail for the rear cockpit. the space is very tight.
[}:)] Truely Dr.Frankenstein has rubbed off on you. LMAO
just killen some time, just finished the exhaust ports and now im waiting for the putty to dry. i do believe even though this project is just for fun i am going to be proud of what i built because of everything im having to scratch built and convert. im really putting my skills to use and even practicing new skills.
the two fusalage halves are almost finished, just finished detailing the wing machine guns, cut out the flaps preping for repositioning. drilled out the hole in the tires to make them fit the P-40 struts.will post pics of construction soon.
Go for it Gunny…that’ll be one wicked bird. I like what someone said in this Forum…" build what you like… like what you build" that says it all. Can’t wait to see this critter
heres more pics of construction

Almost finished the two fusalage halves are glued together, puttied and sanded, now im preping to join them to the P-40 wings. thinking about putting German markings on them, i don’t know.
