how do u strech spruce to fill in seems? i have tried it and before i get the length i want it brakes. am i doing something wrong or not doing a step please help
I try to find a flat piece to fit first. Like the piece that may have the sprue I.D. letter on it. They are usually thin enough to fit into a gap and make a nice ‘flange’. If not, you just have to heat the piece enough to stretch it SLOWLEY. It always takes me a few times. Slow is the key…

Mount a candle on something solid and hold a length of sprue from both sides. Rotate it about an inch above the flame so it gets heated all the way around. When it starts sagging, hold it there another second or two, then remove from the flame and immediately & quickly stretch it out to the desired length. If it breaks too quickly, you probably didn’t heat it enough.
