Stik. Many thanks it seemed the right thing to do.
Nick: Looks like the real thing. Such a beauty!
For this build I decided to use the kit supplied figure and not throw it in the spares box as usual (which is now full of jobless & colorless pilots of various scales and eras).
Acrylics were used and a coat of gloss applied at the end.
So, comrade Mr. pilot also joined the GB. He doesn’t look very happy, probably doesn’t like my face painting skills, but lets pretend it’s battle weariness…

I apologize for the 18 days absence.
Fuselage and wings assembly was completed. Right fuselage half turned out a bit shorter, so things at the nose section were corrected with a little plastic.
Wing root joins were filled, sanded and inspected with some blue marker.
Also exhausts were drilled and hollowed and the nose 37mm cannon barrel was replaced with a needle.
Best regards to all

Hey no worries . that kit looks very clean ,I need to get me one of those .
Man Bell sure used a large retaining nut for the nose gear strut… [;)] Looking real good Zvezda!
Almost ready for decals

A silver F-4F? Interesting…
You’ll see
Stickpusher: Those days they built them to last, he he. I hope this nose gear will stay on the ground eventually, with all this weight…
3 days of decalling the bottom is done

That’s very cool ,interesting
I have one those F-4Fs also but cant figure which silver to use. What paint did you use?
I used Tamiya flat aluminum then glossed it for decals. Looks like aluminum paint
Right side almost done. Still wet from setting solution

Phabulous Phantom TJ!
TJ, that is beautiful! Now I see why the silver… one of those anniversary schemes…
[Y] Yeah I really like these one off schemes
thanks. I do have to say these decals are making this look easy. Very nice to work with
I made a start on the Ventura a few weeks ago just doing a bit here and there. But over the last week i have been able to put more time into it. This is the kit.

I am useing an Eduard PE set and mask and while they are intended for the PV 1, i can still use most of it on this. After doing some reading up, i used Xtracolours British interior green on the inside.

Fuselage went together, pretty weel.

Then got the wings and tail on. The later is a resin set from Pavla. The fit of the canopy is a bit off, it sticks out a fraction on one side, but nothing major.

I have since got it primed and am now part way through the paint job. So should have some more soon.
