Anyone guess the scale of that?[:D]

1/144?

Nope…

Smaller…

And its not inches but centimetres…

One of the ship scales, I’m guessing, like 1/350th or some such.

It looks like 1/245 scale Micro Armor made by GHQ. The US Army Armor school uses the modern sets for tactics training of new armor second lieutenants and staff sergeants. We also used the heck out of them during the Cavalry Leader’s Course. In my younger years (when money was no object) I collected up about a tank heavy task force worth of US Micro Armor and assorted Warsaw Pact Micro Armo.

Great stuff and fun to paint and detail although I never could get the A-10A Warthog fully assembled. The wings and engines would fall off if you looked at it hard.

Yep thats it [:)]
Its 1/285 from GHQ

You must see those dioramas and then check again that all this is smaller that your palm…

Wow, those dios are spectacular, considering their size. If it’s one good thing about small-scale vehicles, it provides the opportunity to build absolutely huge dioramas with very many vehicles included.

And my hand shakes when painting 1/72nd stuff!

That’s amazing!! I wanna do some stuff like that!!

u can do a lot more in 1/285. the size ain’t a problem, since its all gonna be smaller than ur palm! then agian, id hate to loose one of those things in my pocket on the way to a show…

1/285 ??? u wanna to build a armour regiment or division diorama ???

Darn you, this display of Micro Armor made me swing by the Armor School bookstore yesterday. They still carry a comprehensive line of Micro Armor. They had several versions of the UH-60 Blackhawk on clearance ($7.95 a piece less a 75% discount) for $1.99 each.

I grabbed the UH-60L Blackhawk and the MH-60Q Pave Hawk. They also had a UH-60A Blackhawk. I might have to get some more for a Blackhawk Down dio. They now include photo etched brass rotors. Back in the day, the rotors were a clear circular disk. I like the PE rotors much better.

I now have to find the rest of my Micro Armor to see what new vehicles I may need.

I havent seen those BlackHawk…Did you have any photo?

They have photos of them here. The ones on clearance are items number AC26, AC35 and AC36. Photos of all three are on the above website. The only difference is that the UH-60L and MH-60Q pictured in the catalog show the old style clear disks instead of the photo etched brass rotors. The UH-60A (AC26 listed towards the bottom) shows the PE rotors.

The website lists them at $8.95, so I guess the $1.98 I paid for mine is quite a bargin!

Good ole " GHQ 1/245 scale Armor . In our unit , while we were stationed in Calgary , we had a wargaming club , that would meet and and have battles , in the " cloth model room " , in the Lecture Training Building. When we were doing Officer / Snr NCO Training , they would use these GHQ Vehicles , for instance , to ’ re-enact " famous battles that our great Regiment , had participated in , such as the " Melfa River Crossing " . Some of these guys , had a regiment’s worth of vehicles , both " A " , and " B " vehicles.
