I need some advice, would like to try my 1st muti media kit and would welcome any advice on what model to try 1st. I have never worked with resin, and only limited with photo-etch. Any advice forthcoming form expericened modelers would be great.
Cheers!

welcome…
My advice is to dig in and don’t sweat it. Just observe the same care and techniques that you have developed over the years and you’ll be fine.
A couple of thoughts:
Be careful when separating resin bits from the carrier. Use sharp tools and cut carefully, being careful not to stress the part has you can easily crack it.
Be aware that you should have a sharp pair of snips to separate PE from the tree. They have a tendency to take flight once snipped, never to be seen again. Just use CA glue for all resin and PE attachments, prime and paint as normal. Good luck!

Most multi-media kits are usually short runs & as such normally present more of a challenge than main stream kits. Classic Air Frames have released several excellent kits, but most have some serious fit problems between the Resin & injection molded components. Czech Model kits are arguably easier to build, but the selection is somewhat limited. Another good kit source is Grand Phoenix. Their re-issue of the Aifix Spitfire with lots of resin add ons is an excellent kit.

Just be very careful in all steps. Even if assembly goes well, make sure you’re ready to paint it equally well. You dont want a bad finish ruining a crazy kit. Other than that, take it easy, this craps expensive, so dont flip like i did once.
[tup]working with multi media kits can be very rewarding but be aware that the resin is highly toxic and you will need to be very carefull when working with it. wear a good quality mask and have plenty of ventilation.
