The models are mostly jets and are very well built. It even has some fantastic photography and commentary (including a photo build log of a 1/32 Su-27!). Definitely one of the better modeling sites out there.
Excellent site thanks for the link. You have no idea what you have done in finding it. Funny thing is I did not know it exsisted because I know this modeler he is a memeber of our local IPMS club http://www.svsm.org/ .
He is an excellent builder and the F-14 build he did in 1/32 scale was incredible, in fact if you go to the contest page and click on the 5/22/2004 Tri-City Spring Classic link the picture of the guy in the blue tee-shirt is none other than me drooling over his work [:)] no kidding. I took second place at that show in the rocket and missle catagory.
Thom,
I saw it there too. I was fantastic. I also saw his SU-27 at the Feb show and took a couple of pics. His paint job on the engine exhaust is especially notworthy.
I got a 1st and a 2nd at last years show for my Yamato (1/200) and my Rattlesnake privateer. It’s great to see local talent like Masa get showcased!
Thom,
I was at the February model show in Milpitas. I just came for a few minutes at the end to see what was there. Nice exhibit - but they gotta do something next year to improve the light in there - it was downright dim - lol.
Last year I attended the Newark show in May - it was the first model show that I’ve ever attended - I thought it was a blast. I don’t belong to any of the clubs at present.
I’m hoping to finish my Academy 1/32 F/A-18 (which I won at the May show last year) for the show in Newark in May. Maybe I’ll see you there.
Cheers,
Paul
