eureka!... I think?

So last night im looking at my revell 1/48 p-51d with its raised panel lines in all there glory, and i thought hey why not try to rescribe all the lines?(after sanding) hmmmm no tool for the job, took an old toothbrush cut the bristles off took a sewing pin bent it to 45 deg heated red hot stuck it in the end off the brush, secured it with super glue. when i used electrical tape as a straight edge along the panel line it worked beutifully and best its free! try this and tell me what you guys think

Cool Idea, thanks

Bud

I do use a oldtooth brush for some cleaning of parts and when the models it completent, but it to weak as a sand paper, but it does has some good use, I’m using it to remove glur shaving off my T-72, but the technique is good.

thanks anyway

I use an old tooth brush to clean out empty paint bottles. Your idea sounds like it should work very well. Thanks for the idea[tup] I will give it a shot.

Hi Mark

Back in the old days before scribing tools, and when Verlindens books were really pushing the subject that’s exactly how we did it.

I never had that great of sucess with a bent pin but I have seen many kits that came out just fine using it.

I like to run all my panel lines under running water with a toothbrush to get all the dust and stuff out, just in case
