Estimate how many models you've built in your life

A lot less than the models I’ve bought…seriously, less than 100

Well, I guess since the mid 60’s when I started I guess it would have to be close to 800 by now. I have built 8 motorcycles in the last 3 months, but then, I’m home 27/7 now while getting over my wreck so I have a lot of free time. I’ve done everything from bicycles to tanks and Piper Cubs to B-52’s. That’s also counting all of the U/C planes and R/C planes too now. Oh and not to mention the free flight powered and hand launch indoor stuff. Now that I think about it, it may be closer to 1000 if I count all the indoor hand launch and the U/C combat stuff. It was nothing to build 20 of those in a week to get ready for the contests on the weekends. You can go through them pretty quick on a bad day. Man, this made me think, if I had all the money I’ve spent on models of one sort or another, I could retire now. LOL, Thanks for the memories.[:D]

Two.

Over and out.

Golly, that’s a tough one. When I was building them in the 1970’s, I probably turned out a dozen or so per year (which our cats would subsequently smash), but then I was out of modeling by 1979. I got back into it about 1996 but wasn’t serious about it until 1998. Since I’m such a slow worker nowadays, since I got back into modeling, I’ve completed four models–a radio-controlled fishing boat (built as a static model), a MiG-21, Testor’s Area 51 UFO and a scratchbuilt diorama for it, and finally, a 1932 Chrysler Imperial built with the ancient MPC kit. After ten months, I’m still only 40% finished with the tornado chase vehicle.
