I just won a 156 on e-bay. I cant find a review on it to save my life…if anyone has some info on the kit I would really appreciate it. HAPPY HOLIDAYS…[:D]
I think this is the one I built years ago. If it is, it’s a bit basic.
Not a lot of detail inside, and the fabric effect on the wings is a bit overscale, I think the
wing ribs were too. But with a bit of work it can be made into a good looker.

I still have my original. Looks OK to me. Have never started it though.
I had two of these little critters(I got them on sale for about a buck and a half each) that I lost along with the (recently resurrected by Revell Germany) 1/32 Hasegawa/Minicraft (that gives you an idea of its age) Storch, itself now considered a classic kit. They aren’t bad, these little Esci Storchen, but they have some clunky parts that you can replace with plastic sheet and rod . And there’s a few companies making good AM parts for these kits.
Really, if you are new to scratchbuilding and structural detailing, and want to try out some techniques, this is a very good kit for that purpose. Get a couple of reference books and go to it with that plastic sheet and rod. There are a wealth of great color schemes for it, too. I once did the Storch that was used to rescue Il Duce from the mountain resort.
I have seen this kit and the larger one as well done with the skeletal landing gear replaced with soldered metal rod, which was quite a striking improvement. But so is plastic rod, when you want to have a perfectly round cross section on certain parts.
