ESCI 1/35 T-55 revamp/completion

Well it all started with this a couple weeks back. I took a photo of my approximately 20 years old build (but never quite completed) of the ESCI T-55A in Egyptian colors alongside my just completed ESCI Israeli Tiran 5 because both are the same base kit and tank, for comparison purposes.

I realized A) my modeling skills have improved over the pasty 20 years, and B) I never quite did finish the T-55. I never added the fuel drums to their engine deck racks, no antenna, and no weathering of any sort. So in between all the Christmas brouhaha going on, I nickel and dimed those points. I found the fuel drums in the spares bin, cleaned the seams up, repainted, and attached them. The turret Arabic numeral decals had faded, so I repainted those with some white paint over the originals as a guide. And then I did a bit of work on the TC hatch and added the antenna before applying some pin washes and then weathering using Tamiya weathering compacts. And I figured out I would try out a my new photo location in the home and a white bedsheet background as was recommended to me elsewhere. So here are a few shots of the “finally” completed build. Not perfect, but much better than it was.

and with the Tiran again [;)]

Any feedback on either the revamp or photography would be appreciated.
