Does anybody know where I can find a kit of the Enterprise E to build that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg?
Thanks
I’ve only seen the Ertl kit (as an injection kit).
Wait…was that Revell? I can never keep up with who’s got the license…
J-Hulk’s right, only Ertl’s Enterprise E kit. Should be less than $20 I think.

Bandai is coming out with a 40cm Ent-E kit some time this summer. I saw it mentioned at www.hlj.com. No word on price yet.
Alliance Models makes a 1/1400 Ent-E in resin, available at www.federationmodels.com
Unfortunately it costs $95 :(. But Tracy MIGHT have an Ertl E in his styrene kits section if you check.
J-Hulk, 'twas Ertl made the E :). Revell/Monogram only had the license for Voyager. Both companies let it lapse. As for who’s got the license now - Polar Lights is the only U.S. styrene kitmaker with a current Star Trek License. Bandai has the Japanese license.
PL promises some great stuff, starting with the 1/1000 TOS E in July.
John P, who is Tracy and how might I find out if he has an Ertl E in his styrene section?
Thanks
I don’t know about the aforementioned 40-cm Enterprise by Bandai, but I did just read in the May issue of “Uchusen” that Bandai plans to release an Enterprise E in 1/700 (would that be about 40cm?) this Fall. Just like the soon-to-be -released 1701 Movie Enterprise , it’ll be pre-painted and snap-together, and lighted.
I think I have one. Untouched for whatever I paid. Probably $20 or less. Mike Danforth 414 543-2248. Mike.Danforth@Nav-International.com

John, I don’t mean to nitpick but “TOS” stands for The Original Series and the Enterprise E was never on it. [:0]
But it would have been great if it was (al’a “Trials and Tribbulations”)[;)]
SkippyOU110, Have you checked e-bay? I’ve picked up one ST model at a good price and see E’s and everything else available some at good prices. It just takes some time to look thru it all. Browse using Hobby-model-sciencefiction and put star trek in the search field. [:)]
I think when he says “TOS E” he is using shorthand to refer to “The Original Series Enterprise” and not the Enterprise-E.
