Enterprise Bridge Project tour video

I just spent a (very enjoyable) three months working on the AMT USS Enterprise Bridge model. I had tried this as a kid, when it first came out, and this time I decided to try to do it with all the complexity and challenges I could manage (and some I couldn’t!).

It came out well, and I made a video to talk about the whole process. It’s here:

It’s a long video, but if you don’t have the patience, the first minute or so gives a good general overview. This was SO much fun for me, and so difficult, and I learned so much, that I thought I would share it.

If you’re looking for a fun build, this would be good with even just the basics, and even more fun the more you add.

I used the Paragrafix photoetch and transparencies, and a ton of LEDs and ESP32 microprocessors. And a lot else.

Wow, that is really cool. I think I built this when I was a kid, but without the lighting and electrical work.

That turned out incredible!

It looks amazing. But when the lights are on, it’s that x 10. Congratulations.

Stunning work! Looks like it could be used as a prop for the TV series.
