Ok, I saw the tip by Paul Boyer on the FSM homepage, but where the heck can I find it? What colors are available? I checked elmers.com but they don’t even list it among their products! I saw a listing at an online hobby store, but they only have red. Anybody?
If it’s Elmers why couldn’t you just put food coloring in it and make your own? I use food coloring in Future for tints.[:D]
Woody, you’re a genius! I hadn’t even thought of that! I wonder how it would work with inks or water based paints? To the Laboratory(Mad Scientist laugh!)
I e-mailed Elmers asking where I could find GluColors and here’s their reply:
“Thank you for contacting us regarding Elmer’s Glue products.
Elmer’s GluColors is a product line that has been discontinued. I feel this is the reason why the online hobby shop is only offering the red color. The product line was discontinued 7-8 years ago and at best this product would be 7-8 years old, which is well past the 2 year shelf life expediency.”
So, it looks like I use additives to regular ol’ Elmers.
You can use artist acrylic paints from caft stores. Water based and easily mixable with Elmers.
Howdy mostlyjets, How did your efforts turn out? If so what was your source of color?
