bought recently a kit from imai in 1/12 scale from a harley davidson electra gluide[:)] now the problem… does anyone by chance have a spare copy of the building plans or paintcheme from the bike (brandname does not matters) as i do not speek japanese[;)] and do not know what colours they mean on the cheets. keep up the good work [:D][:D]
That’s the great thing about Harleys, though. It makes no real difference what colors you use, or what designs get placed on it. Each Harley is customized by its owner, so there are no two alike, unless you want to model one from the showroom floor. My advice is just to be creative with it. Have fun! Find or design a scheme that you like, and go for it!
demono69
you can never go wrong with a black hog!
Here are 2 photo’s of my 1997 Electra Glide Classic. It has been repainted in 2 automotive colors that were not avail from H-D.
As Demon069 said there in NO such thing as a “stock” Harley. Everybody in my HOG (Harley Owners Group) club has a unique bike. So use you imagination and have fun.
[8D]thanks for the pictures therriman, beautiful bike myself am a vulcanrider (full option), i think your bike is metalicgreen by the pictures? great reference anyway, keep on cruising [:p]
Yes it metalic green. The dark green is GM forest green, and the light green is Chrysler import seafoam green.
Lots of pinstriping too.
Treasure that kit, it is an OOP kit.
A Shop close to me still has two of those on the shelf, really have to go and get myself one of them.
IMAI Instructions should refer to the Gunze Sangyo range of colours, normally they are eitehr given with an Hxx or simply the number xx depending on which of the colour ranges they are refering too.
Again as was mentioned above, on Bikes really anything goes. Most Bikers somehow will personalise their rides, may it be accessories, paint scheme, etc.
