Eduard's new Fw-190

I had my doubts, but this looks like a really sweet (read accurate) kit with useful goodies. I’m in the midst of my first Eduard kit now (P-39) and I have to say that I am impressed. This one looks like it may raise the bar that Tamiya and Hasegawa set last decade for wunderkits.

Butcher birds rock. Thanks for the review.

Yes it is nice kit and I thing the best at all!!! Have you noted different canopy for the open and closed position?!

I know. Doesn’t that rock?!?!? I can’t believe that it took this long to get something like this in an injected product. I’ve seen people mimic the “hinged effect” with vacuformed canopies, but it never seemd to come out right.

I gotta get me one of these.[:D]

The question…Which Fw190 A kit should I build for my 1st Butcher Bird model? … has been answered. Look real nice.

Sounds like a really nice kit. I’m also looking forward to the Bf110 that’s supposed to follow shortly.

Regards, Rick

Thanks for the review Thehannaman2. I just bought the Tamiya A8, but will definitely pick up an Eduard set- especially with all the goodies in it, its a deal for $39 bucks!

Guys…guys…everybody…do yourself a favor…go and buy one of these kits.
I’ve owned a bunch of Eduard kits - and for some reason, Eduard never seems to get the high praise they deserve - the Eduard kits I’ve owned are quite possibly the finest plastic kits I’ve seen; perfect fit, fantastic details, beautiful scribing, stunning decals. It just doesn’t get better than this.
Thehannaman is right - Eduard has produced a range of kits that Tamiya, Hasegawa, Accurate Miniatures and Fujimi need to have a serious look at - with a view to increasing their quality so they can match Eduard’s quality.
I’m going to call my LHS and get them to order one for me on monday.

Put one in my wish list!
