Eduard Yak kit missing a whole sprue!!!

Earlier this evening, I puchased the Eduard Yak-3 dual combo kit from my LHS. When I got home and opened it up, one whole sprue of parts is missing! I got two sets of PE, two sets of masks, two canopy srues, two sprues of wing parts, but only one sprue of fuselage parts. Has anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone know who to contact to get a replacement, or do I just return the kit to the LHS? TIA

Frank, I would take it back to the store. With the competition that exists between LHS’s and online hobby shops these days, it would make sense for someone in either field to do all that is necessary to improve customer relations and keep their buyers happy. Just my [2c]

I got the I-16 Royal Class kit for Christmas and it was missing some parts so I contacted a gentleman named Martin Finger at Eduard and explained what was missing and he sent it to me right away. His e-mail is department@eduard.com

Thats not good, I’d take it back to the LHS if it were me.

what you’ve got there is the yak-3 double cockpit biplane trainer edition. very rare!

Thanks for the help everyone! I decided to take it back to the LHS, and exchanged it for a Hasegawa P-39Q/N. Guess the YaK just wasn’t meant to be!

I got your message Frank, Now I cant use that as a excuse to get up from my desk and go look thru the bone yard. What dress are you going to use on the P-39, I might be able to help ya out there to.

Funny you should ask! I really want to do a P-39 from the Aleutians, but haven’t been able to find any decals for them. In fact, the only markings I have found from that campaign is the VERY well modeled P-40E “Aleutian Tiger.” If I can’t find anything like that, my second idea is a Russian P-39. You don’t have anything like that laying around in your stash, do you? [:D]

I will look this weekend. I have not gone in the shop because its a mess. Im break-n out the leaf blower and blowing that sucker out so I can get some building done.
