I am wanting to get some photo-etch for the 1/32 trumpeter p-47. I have a gifet card for Squadron and I am looking at two sets that come from Eduard, the first is the P-47 interior detail set # 32613 and the other is the placard set # 32611 how many of the placrds included in the cockpit detail set are included in the placard set? in other words if I only get the interior set, what placrards would I be missing from the placrd set?
I cant answer your question, but if you go to the Eduard web site, you can get all the info you need. Rhey have pics & discriptions of all 20 gazzilian sets…Harv
Once you are at the site go to the top & choose PRODUCTS. Then choose one of the catagories IE : big ed, color sets, photo ech sets. Once you pic one, be sure and choose the right scale. then go through till you find the one your looking for. Then click on that set and it should come up with pics & discription. Try that and see…Harv
ya that is what I had done…like I said the description are a little vauge and the pics are small, I was hoping someone had bought these sets and could tell me a little about them…
Ashton, sorry I wasn`t much help. But from my experiance with thier sets, unless you get the Big Ed sets, the pit sets dont have the placards with them, they are a seperate set…Harv
I am currently working on Hasegawa’s 1/32 Bubbletop with the Big Ed set. Now the set numbers are the same. But the sets are basically contain the same items.
First up would be the inerioer set with self adhesive etch:
There are no placards in this set. Paired with either the kit or resin cockpit this is what you can get
Now this is the exterior set that came with in the set
Depending on how much detail you want. The placards may not be needed. So you could have the option to put the money elsewhere.
I would shop around for the best price though. depending on what you want.
I personally would never build another cockpit w/o at least the self adhesive interior set. The instument panel ( below) in the pic has no glue or paint on it. Just a dab of future for lenese and she was read to go.
Sorry so long winded and with all the pics but hoped this helped you get an answer you were looking for.
“does the interior kit come w/ a new throttle box? or do you simply put a photo-etch ovelay ontop of the exsisting one?”
Ashton:
It is basically an overlay. Just sand the part flat and stick the self adhesive etch over the part.
** A word of warning though. Do not take the self adhesive etch off the wax paper that comes in the package until you are ready to apply it** It will stick to any surface you apply pressure to and it is a bear to get off w/o damaging it. (Don’t ask how I know that) [:I]
It makes bending a challenge but rewarding in the end.
