Eduard Moraine Saulnier N-1 Complete (with a few tweaks left) - maybe

Comments welcome. This is about a months worth of work with most concentrated over the past two weekends.

Looks great! Here is mine(A Sierra sacale models vac-form)

Excellent work! Looks like you did some more work to the tires, much better in my eyes. A lot of work in that work you can tell. [tup]

Looks like a nice build Philo. That engine mounting is the toughest part of the kit (after all the rigging of course), Your rigging looks good but you might want to pull that engine and work on the alignment a bit more. Try drilling out the engine and installing an alignment rod through it to mount the prop and spinner.

Looking at Philo’s build made me realize that I forgot to install the wedges on the prop to deflect the bullets from the Hotchkiss machine gun. See I told you it was done except for maybe some tweaks here and there. Good thing I haven’t cleared the bench yet.

Looks good. The rigging is very well done.

That stainless steel wire is really great to work with. My Father in law gave me a big spool of it back in 1983 and I’ve been using it ever since. A pair of dividers to determine the span and then CA on both ends to secure. It’s just strong enough not to sag under it’s own weight and thin enough to use even in 1/72 scale in a pinch although that would be 1/4" diameter in full scale which is a bit thick.

Looks great! these remind me of the Bristol M1, which we need a 1/48 kit thereof!

Yes,I see your point.I think the propeller shaft may be a bit too long and the shaft has to be more centered.I think your kit is superior to the vac form kit as the wings(on my kit) are a bit thick. Thanks for the advice!

I’ve built exactly ONE vac kit and I swore that I’d never do another one. You have my respect (and condolences) for the amount of work you had to put into a great result. The Eduard kits (especially the Profipack kits) are really very good and worth every penny in my opinion.

Nice job, Capone. Looks sweet as, my freind.
