I am building this kit, and I’ve run into a problem. I followed the kit directions and did not use any glue on the front landing gear bay when I closed up the fuselage. Now, The back part of the bay rose, and there is a significant gap between it and the walls. Separating the fuselage is not really an option at this point, because I used filler when putting it together. Does anyone know of a way I can pull the landing gear bay back down?
That’s a bugaboo to the Eduard kit. I ran into a similar issue on mine for the Force of Nature GB. You don’t have a lot of options, unfortunately. I assume you haven’t glued the lower wing portion yet? I found that when test fitting the lower wing to the fuselage I have some wiggle room on getting the gear bay to settle onto the wing. I had to add some sprue to spread out the lower portion of the fuselage so the wings would fit. I was able to “pull down” the nose bay with the piece of sprue I used as a spreader. I still added some strip sprue to make everything flush, but the result was pretty nice.
How loose is it?? Would you be able to glue the Landing gear to the bay, then use the gear as a lever to pull the bay back down into place, then glue it??
