I bought the Eduard P-39Q recently, and it did not come with a clear parts sprue. I sent an email to to the info email address on Eduard’s site, and have not gotten any answer in 3 days. I tried Stevens International (listed on the Eduard site as their US distributor) and they can’t help.
so… HELP! This kit is useless without the clear sprue, its so nice it would be a waste if it was unbuildable.
Good luck. I bought their Spitfire Mk.22 kit & it had severely warped fuselage halves. My efforts to get a replacement were in vain. Usually nice kits, but customer service is not one of their strong points.
I have only had good luck with Eduard parts replacement. I was missing clear parts, and a cowl from the I-16 Royal Class kit and I sent an e-mail to department@eduard.com and didn’t hear anything back so after about 3-4 days I e-mailed them again and got an e-mail saying that my parts had been mailed the previous day. I had them about 5 days later. I have also asked several questions about future releases and gotten prompt replies. The person I always contact is Martin Finger at the above address.
I was just looking at the photo etched fret in my brand new Bf 110E and the antennas on the lower, rear fuselage are malformed. Actually, they just look bent but that’s they way I received them.
I forwarded pictures of it to the email address you mentioned, Rick. I hope they come through.
Well, it has been a week since I emailed the folks at Eduard about the missing parts (at numerous email addresses), and have not received the tiniest peep of a response. Not even an automated 'we got your email" message.
I’m sad to say I dont have the clear parts you are looking for. I went into the shop found two of the kits and yup you guessed it no clear parts to be found.
Was just about to send you a PM… I asked Accurate Miniatures if I could get the parts from them, as they are now selling this kit, and the parts showed up in the mail … today!
Accurate Miniatures is easily my favorite manufacturer nowadays!!!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I just received a whole new PE set from Eduard for my Bf 110! Not only did they give me the fret with the damaged part, but the extra part with the radiator screens too.
I’m really impressed with the way they handled my problem. Of course it took a few weeks, but they stepped up to the plate and I really appreciate it.
