Eduard 72nd F6F-3 Complete Page 2

fightnjoe, thank you very much.

Joe R, o ye, i forgot about that, just went backed and checked your pics. It is indeed a great kit, i have primed it and got the undersides painted and i did use one single bit of filler.

I did do a PTO P-61 last year and i do have a PV-1 in the stash. So it definatly won’t be my last. they have all been gifts, but you never now, i might actally buy one myself, i do like the Corsair.

I had the exact same thought when I looked at those seatbelts, then neglected to comment.

Harmony in the world. Ha ha, Rix. [:D]

So what does PTO stand for?

Pacific Theater of Operations. As opposed to the ETO, European Theater of Operations.

Dang Bish, you make that look like a much bigger scale. Super nice work!!

BK

Thanks BK.

My god man! That looks like 1/32! Unreal detail. I’m looking forward to more.

Toshi

Great start Bish. Nice to see something from you that won’t have a Balkenkreuz

Thanks guys.

Johnny, i have to be careful or i get withdrawel symptoms.

Nice start on that jewel Bish. I thought you’d never get around to it. [;)]

Ahh, thank you kind sir.

This ain’t bad for me, less than a year after getting it. It could be worse, the panzerwerefer i am just finishing has been in the stash for 20.

No worries Greg.

Excellent work on the 'pit Bish! A great start!

Thanks allan. Now have the paint and gloss coat on and ready for decals. So will have some more tonight.

Time for a short update, mainly been painting this week so that took a bit of time. All the assembly was done soon after the last update. This went together like a dream. I just needed a small bit of filler infront of the canopy, but i think that was more doen to me. I really like how the wings fit especially, no filler at all there.

And then off to the paint booth. After some primer, i used Xtracolor white on the underside and the two blues are Humbrol. I left 2 days between each coat before masking and then finished off with Alclad gloss on top, as the Xtracolor is gloss anyway.

I am just taking a break from adding the decals, so should have that doen tonight and then some detail painting.

Bish,

The three colors turned out very well! Great job!

Cheers Bruce.

Bish, the paint scheme is just so beautiful. You make it look so easy. Thank you for sharing this build, I’m learning while you create!

Toshi

Thanks Toshi. I am learning myself as i go on with this. Thats what this place is all about.

Bravo Bish on a tri-color scheme well done. It looks great. Did you mask at all or did you free hand it? Yeah, how about how Eduard engineered those wings. I too was duly impressed. Seriously, you don’t need to even glue them in place.

I’m soo proud of you.[:(((]

Thanks Joe. I used White tac to mask. But i didn’t get it quite straight enough, so i had to tidy up a bit freehand. I know what you mean, the fit is perfetc. Hasegawa does the same thing with their B-24 kits.
