I bought a set of 1/48th Wildcat PE on ebay but it doesn’t have instructions. I’ve never used PE before and I have no idea where 90% of the parts go (or what they are for that matter). Anyone have a scan of the instructions or know a site where I could get them? Appreciate any help.
I can second that, the instructions are on the Eduard site… narrow the search by specifying 1/48. Besides the gear struts, watch out for the gear doors… they are out of scale and can drive you nuts. Other thatn that a nice kit. The PE really brings it to life.
I found the FE246 instructions on line at the Eduard website. The PE version I have is for a Monogram version and Eduard didn’t have it on their website but I think the FE246 instructions will be enough for me to be dangerous.
The kit I’m building is the tamiya version but should be able to make it work enough to be presentable.
Looks really good, Carlos. Hope I’m half as successful as you on that.
I just got back into modeling a few months ago after building a couple kits with my 6 year old. Now I’m in way over my head. The PE set I bought was a target of opportunity on ebay for $5 bucks. I’ve got a stash of kits I’m buying and had no intention of doing PE, etc but I joined the local model club and been reading FSM forums, etc and now so help me I can’t help picking up all the bells and whistles despite swearing out of the box was good enough. It’s a slippery slope!
PE get addictive…then you just keep adding more and more details to the kit…you start in the cockpit then move on to the engine…add harness. wiring, pushrods etc…[bnghead] hell I even added fiber optics to a Rufe and lit up the cockpit and landing lights!!! that was a blast!
but all worth it in the end…let see some pics as you progress and WELCOME BACK!!! [snWcm]
