Easy dial guages

Walking through my supermarket yesterday I found a new Sharpie pen that is a “metallic” silver color. It is an ink pen with an tip sharp enough to paint on the dial bezels on my instrument panals. I came home and tried it out. It works perfectly. Just a tip in case anyone is looking for an easy way to get this done. Maybe there are better methods, better looking methods, but this was easy! Anyone else try that pen out? By the way, don’t clear coat it. It’ll run.

HEY,
I have a silmilar pen. It is not a fine point, it is more like a marker, but it is like a chrome silver color. It does work great.

I’ve seen reference to these Sharpie pens before but have never come across them in the UK. There use to be some black card called ‘scratchcard’ I think. You could scratch the black away leaving white which seems ideal for most instrument dials.
Gerald Wingrove mentions it in his books but I can’t locate any anymore.
Does anyone know of an outlet for this stuff? I have a 1/12 Revell 300SL with pathetic instruments which I would like to get right before I get into the build.
