How many posts does a member have to make to earn stars?
Does it really matter? The quantity of stars is not always an indication of the quality of posts.
Starting Member: 0 - 9 posts - Snap-together
Member Level 1: 10 - 99 posts - Box-stock
Member Level 2: 100 - 499 posts - Aftermarket
Member Level 3: 500 - 999 posts - Multi-media
Member Level 4: 1000 - 1999 posts - Kitbashed
Member Level 5: 2000+ - Scratchbuilt
Five yellow starts signify a FSM employee.
Just curious. I agree that quality of topics is more important than quantity.[:p]
That’s true but it nice to know if someone is a novice on the forum.
Sometimes novices need a few pointers on where to ask questions and other forum related matters (no advertising, buying, selling etc.)
True enough! Look at me 522 posts and 3 stars. I’m confused with somebody who knows something, all the time! [:D][:p]
I use the post count as a way of measuring forum knowledge, not stars. I’m hoping that they change that system with the new forums…

No stars! Wel, I do hope we keep post-counts. As I explained above, I feel they have a limited function in organization of the forum.
I think a one post member can contribute as well as a 1000 post member (like me)-I think the post count really only indicates your involvement in the FSM Forums and not the hobby. But, post away folks-it’s all fun to read (mostly). If there are changes coming I do hope you FSM folks retain off-topic stuff-i feel these topics do concern modelers even if they don’t have much to do with modeling-after all, we’re still people aren’t we? Except for the glue and paint fumes.
